What personal data do we collect?
PatagoniaChic collects and stores: a) personal data provided by the user, b) personal data obtained from third parties, including public data, and c) personal data automatically collected by our platform, as described below:
- Personal data provided by the user To make tourist bookings through our Sales Channels, you must provide certain personal data, including but not limited to full name, valid identification number, nationality, tax identification number, and contact information (such as phone number, address, or email). To make tourist bookings, you may also need to provide information about your debit or credit card (such as the credit card number, security code, cardholder's name, and expiration date). Personal data will only be collected through the Sales Channels listed above. At its sole discretion, PatagoniaChic may verify the personal data provided by consulting public entities, specialized companies, or risk centers, for which you expressly authorize us. The information PatagoniaChic obtains from these entities will be treated confidentially, in compliance with applicable legislation and this Policy. You always have the option to choose not to provide your personal data, but generally, this information is required to complete the tourist bookings. If you choose not to provide certain information, you may not be able to use our services. If you make a reservation on behalf of a third party, you must first obtain that third party's consent before providing us with their personal data. If the third party is a minor in accordance with applicable law, you declare that you have consent from at least one parent or the legal guardian of the minor to provide their personal data and accept this Privacy Policy on their behalf. You may also submit feedback, comments, and suggestions by voluntarily participating in surveys and/or answering questions sent via emails or other channels (the “Feedback”). In this case, in order to provide other users with real testimonies about travel experiences, you agree and acknowledge that all Feedback you send may be published on our Sales Channels. In such case, you may be identified by your full name, nickname, photo, comment, nationality, and/or other personal information. By submitting your Feedback, or uploading multimedia content through any Sales Channel, you understand that this content will not be treated confidentially and may be freely used by PatagoniaChic for commercial purposes. Subject to the limitations set forth by applicable law, you waive all rights to use that material, including privacy rights, property rights, publicity rights, and the right to object to the manner in which the material is used. Furthermore, you grant PatagoniaChic a non-exclusive, unrestricted, perpetual, and free license to use, transmit, copy, and display the Feedback in any medium. No compensation will be paid for the Feedback or multimedia material. Always bear in mind that when you post information or multimedia material in a public section of a PatagoniaChic website, you are making it available to other users and the general public, and it will be beyond PatagoniaChic's control. Please remember this and be careful with the information you choose to disclose.
- Personal data obtained from third parties, including public data To the extent permitted by law, and particularly personal data protection legislation, PatagoniaChic may also obtain personal data about you from its affiliated companies, business partners, suppliers, and other third-party sources—such as public databases, information gathered during a phone conversation with the customer service center, and/or through interactive applications. Personal data obtained from third parties will be combined with the other personal data we have on file. All personal data obtained by PatagoniaChic from third parties will be processed in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
- Personal data automatically collected by our platform PatagoniaChic automatically collects and stores certain browsing data from users. Browsing data includes: IP addresses, Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs), request times, methods used to send requests to the server, file sizes received as responses, numerical codes indicating the server's response status, and other parameters related to the user's operating system and computing environment. The computer systems and programs used to navigate websites collect certain data during use, which is necessary for Internet communication protocols. As a general rule, this information is not gathered to identify users, but due to its nature, it could allow identification when associated with other data. Also, for our websites to function correctly, PatagoniaChic uses its own and third-party cookies.
What do we use the personal data we collect for?
PatagoniaChic uses the personal data collected for the following purposes:
- To manage your travel booking, carry out the transactions you have initiated, and process invoices or other tax-related documentation related to your booking. Additionally, we maintain a record of bookings in our database.
- To offer you products and services, either individually or jointly with third parties.
- To manage your requests and respond to your questions or comments.
- To conduct internal analysis regarding sales and/or consumption patterns.
- To measure customer satisfaction with our products, services, and support.
- To comply with our legal obligations, including cooperating with any requests from public authorities under the law.
- To send you confirmation and updates about your trip, as well as any relevant information. This information may be sent via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other instant messaging services to the contact details you provided. These messages may include (but are not limited to) information about PatagoniaChic services, as well as contact details of providers who could assist with your travel experience at the destination.
- To contact you for customer service, conduct surveys, statistics, or analysis on consumption habits or preferences.
- To send special offers and information about participating in contests and sweepstakes.
- To conduct internal studies on user interests, behaviors, and demographics, to better understand their needs and interests, improve our commercial and promotional initiatives, personalize your content, presentation, and services, and/or display advertising or promotions of interest to users. For this purpose, PatagoniaChic will only use anonymized data.
- To use debit or credit card information (such as the cardholder's name, card number, and expiration date) solely to complete the travel bookings you make, including sending your data to final service providers to manage your bookings and/or purchase requests.
- To provide payment processing or fraud prevention services for your providers or third parties.
Where do we store and how do we protect the personal data we collect?
All personal data is collected and stored on servers physically located in the United States of America. PatagoniaChic may relocate these servers to any other country and may store personal data in the United States or other countries for backup purposes.
By accepting this Policy, you give your unequivocal consent for PatagoniaChic to transfer your personal data to any country in the world. We ensure that personal data transferred abroad will be protected.
In any case, PatagoniaChic is committed to ensuring that legally required standards for the protection and safeguarding of your personal data are met by signing agreements aimed at protecting the privacy of your data.
PatagoniaChic has tools in place to protect your personal data from unauthorized access by third parties. We take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data. These measures include internal audits of our data collection, storage, and processing practices.

How to access, delete, correct, and/or update the personal data we collect
You can exercise these rights through any of the following options:

Additionally, if you are making the request on behalf of a third party, you must provide proof of your authority to represent them. PatagoniaChic may request additional information or documentation to verify your identity or clarify your request, such as a copy of your national ID, your email address and postal address for notifications, a contact phone number, and a clear and precise description of the personal data for which you wish to exercise the right, as well as documents supporting the request. Once the requirements are met, and if applicable, PatagoniaChic will inform you whether your request has been accepted or rejected. PatagoniaChic will have 10 (ten) business days from the receipt of the complete request to respond in the case of an access request and 5 (five) business days if you request the correction, update, or deletion of personal data.
General InformationThe entity responsible for the database and compliance with the Privacy Policy in Argentina is Patagonia Chic S.R.L., located at Charles Furh 149, El Calafate city, Santa Cruz. Notwithstanding the provisions of Clause 6 of this Policy, you may also exercise your rights by submitting a written request, signed and proving your identity, at the indicated address. In compliance with the provisions of Law No. 25.326, Regulatory Decree No. 1558/2001, and any binding provisions or resolutions issued by the Access to Public Information Agency, it is communicated that: “the data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is proven as established in Article 14, Section 3 of Law No. 25.326. The Access to Public Information Agency, as the Oversight Body of Law No. 25.326, is authorized to handle complaints and claims filed by those affected by non-compliance with the existing rules on personal data protection. The data subject may at any time request the removal or blocking of their name from the databases referred to in this article. In any communication for advertising purposes sent by mail, phone, email, Internet, or any other remote means, it must be expressly and prominently stated that the data subject has the right to request the removal or blocking, either partially or fully, of their name from the database. Upon request from the data subject, the name of the data controller or user of the database that provided the information must be disclosed.
