The excursion begins at the operational base along the Puerto Madryn waterfront, where the specialized team provides an introductory briefing on the basic principles of diving, equipment operation and safety guidelines. After receiving a wetsuit and all necessary gear, a short coastal boat ride of approximately 10 minutes leads to a shallow natural or artificial reef, an ideal environment for initial practice and discovering the rich Patagonian marine life. Before beginning the descent, each participant practices on the surface with their instructor until feeling fully prepared for the dive.
