Description

Description
The Peninsula Valdes with Estancia San Lorenzo full day excursion allows you to explore one of the greatest natural treasures of Argentine Patagonia through an itinerary that brings together the Southern Right Whale watching navigation (during the season), a visit to a traditional Patagonian estancia and access to one of the world's largest Magellanic penguin colonies, surrounded by the protected area's most representative landscapes.

The experience begins early in the morning with hotel pick-up in Puerto Madryn and the journey to Puerto Piramides, where those who wish may join the optional Southern Right Whale watching navigation, a unique opportunity to observe these magnificent marine mammals in their natural habitat.

The excursion then continues to Estancia San Lorenzo, a traditional Patagonian sheep estancia where visitors can learn about its history, enjoy an optional Patagonian lamb barbecue lunch and visit the impressive breeding colony of Magellanic penguins, home to hundreds of thousands of penguins during the season.

The journey continues to Punta Norte, one of the most important marine wildlife sites in Peninsula Valdes, where, depending on the season, it is possible to observe South American sea lions, southern elephant seals and even orcas from the shore. Before returning, there will be a stop at the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Interpretation Center.

Throughout the excursion, it is common to spot native wildlife such as guanacos, Patagonian maras, lesser rheas, gray foxes and a great variety of Patagonian birds, completing an unforgettable experience that connects visitors with the extraordinary biodiversity that makes Peninsula Valdes one of Patagonia's greatest natural treasures.
