Description
The Cerro Otto excursion is a traditional half-day activity in Bariloche that blends sweeping views, nature and a unique high-altitude experience.
From an agreed meeting point in Bariloche, you will be transferred to the base of the mountain to ascend on the modern cable car, with capacity for up to four passengers per gondola, traveling 2 km over the Andean forest until reaching 1,405 meters above sea level. During the ascent, the windows open onto Lake Nahuel Huapi, the city and the mountains surrounding the National Park.
At the top, the iconic Rotating Café offers a distinctive experience: while you enjoy a coffee or an afternoon snack, the entire structure gently rotates 360°, providing uninterrupted views of Mount Tronador, Catedral and Lopez peaks, and the vast Lake Nahuel Huapi that defines Bariloche.
In addition, at the summit you will find short trails, natural viewpoints and cultural attractions that may vary depending on the season, ideal for leisurely exploring and capturing exceptional photographs. The setting combines the tranquility of the forest with the wide, classic panoramas of Bariloche.
The descent is once again by cable car and then by vehicle back to the agreed meeting point, concluding a brief, accessible tour that is perfect for those wishing to admire Bariloche from its highest and most iconic point.
