Description

Description
This unforgettable guided tour connects Bariloche with San Martin de los Andes along the famous 7 Lakes Route, an iconic Patagonian journey. The trip winds through crystal-clear lakes, native forests and viewpoints offering breathtaking sights, culminating in the picturesque town of San Martin de los Andes, nestled beside Lake Lacar, where you will have free time to explore.

The tour begins when you are picked up at the agreed meeting point in Bariloche at 8:00 a.m. to start the journey to the northern area of Nahuel Huapi National Park, traveling through mountain landscapes, rivers and dense Patagonian forests.

Upon reaching Villa La Angostura, the famous 7 Lakes Route begins, a scenic stretch of National Route 40 connecting the town with San Martin de los Andes over approximately 110 km. This road is renowned for its pristine nature and constant panoramic views that combine crystal-clear waters, snow-covered mountains and vast forests. Along the way, the excursion skirts some of Patagonia’s most emblematic lakes: Nahuel Huapi, Correntoso, Espejo, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner and Machonico. Each offers a unique landscape, from deep waters of varying hues to peaceful beaches surrounded by native woodland. Photo stops at scenic overlooks allow you to capture landscapes of incredible beauty.

As the excursion approaches San Martin de los Andes, the scenery shifts gradually, giving way to the forests surrounding Lake Lacar. The environment becomes calmer, anticipating arrival at the final destination. The smooth transition between valleys, mountains and lakes makes this final stretch especially contemplative.

Finally, you will arrive in the town of San Martin de los Andes, a mountain village surrounded by nature and marked by a strong Patagonian identity. Here, you will have free time to enjoy lunch, stroll through the town center, browse local shops and take in the privileged views of the lake.

Afterward, you will return to Bariloche, arriving around 6:30 p.m., after a tour that brings together stunning scenery, tranquility and the most characteristic essence of the 7 Lakes Route.
