The excursion to Port Blest and Cascada de los Cantaros is one of the most iconic tours in Nahuel Huapi National Park. From the port near San Carlos de Bariloche, a journey begins that combines sailing, hiking trails through the Valdivian rainforest and crystal-clear lakes. If you book the tour with transportation from the agreed meeting point in Bariloche, you will be picked up from 8:30 a.m. onwards to begin the 25 km journey to Port Pañuelo, from where the embarkation starts at 9:00 a.m. If you have your own vehicle, you must arrive at Port Pañuelo at 9:00 a.m.
The excursion begins onboard a modern boat that sails on the deep blue waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi, surrounded by hills covered in native forests. Along the way, you will pass by Centinela Island, where the remains of Francisco Pascasio Moreno, a key figure in the creation of Argentina's protected areas, rest. This point marks the entrance to an area of increasingly dense and humid vegetation, a prelude to the microclimate that characterizes the Blest Arm.
The tour continues towards the legendary Port Blest, one of the wettest and greenest places in all of Patagonia, where the historic Hotel Blest is located. There, the surrounding silence contrasts with the lush vegetation, offering an ideal space to relax, explore or simply contemplate the colors that paint the bay.
