Cerro Frias Zip Line is a half day tour in which you can enjoy a 2000 m zip line divided into four sections of 500 m. You will descend Cerro Frias from the summit to the base, enjoying a unique experience with views of the Patagonian steppe and the Andes Mountains.
Cerro Frias is located near the city of El Calafate, on the way to the Perito Moreno Glacier and, since it is not part of the Andes, offers spectacular panoramic views of Torres del Paine, Cerro Fitz Roy, Cordon de los Cristales, Rico Arm, North Arm and main body of Lake Argentino, Boca del Diablo, Magallanes Peninsula and Avellaneda Peninsula.
The tour begins when you are picked up from your hotel in El Calafate and undertake the 25 km journey to Cerro Frias. There, from Hosteria Eolo, a 4x4 tour begins driving uphill, where you can see a lengas forest along the way, sunsets with a great variety of colors and native flora and fauna. A few minutes after departing you have important views of the Centinela River Valley and Torres del Paine. The tour continues uphill until you reach the first platform from where the zip line starts.
From there you start the zip line descent assisted by the guides of the excursion on each of platform. The total descent is divided into four routes that allow you to enjoy maximum adrenaline when reaching high speeds. You will live a different adventure in El Calafate area surrounded by a Patagonian landscape.
Upon reaching the base of the hill, you will have free time in the barbecue area to eat the lunchbox or the snack. After this tour, you start the journey back to the city of El Calafate and to your hotel.
