This full-day excursion, departing from El Calafate, allows you to explore Torres del Paine National Park in Chile without having to visit Puerto Natales. The tour is conducted in Overland 4x4 vehicles with specialized guides from Argentina and Chile. It's an experience that invites you to immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of this natural wonder, visiting strategic points within the national park. From there, you'll take hikes that will allow you to access panoramic viewpoints of the most important natural attractions in El Paine. The circular route allows you to visit the main viewpoints and points of interest without repeating them.
The excursion begins with pickup from your hotel in El Calafate at 6:30 a.m. to head to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. Crossing the Patagonian steppe from north to south, you will arrive at the Cancha Carrera border crossing (a 3-hour drive from El Calafate). Once you have completed customs procedures, you will stop in the Chilean town of Cerro Castillo.
At 11:00 a.m., the vehicle will continue towards Torres del Paine National Park, where you will arrive at 12:00 p.m. at the first attraction, Portería Río Serrano, from where you will have a wonderful view of Torres del Paine directly in front of you and from where you can access the national park. After crossing the gate, you will continue towards the Pudeto area, passing through Pehoe, where you will arrive at approximately 1:30 p.m. There, a guided trek to Salto Grande waterfall will take place, followed by a hike to the Cuernos del Paine Viewpoint on the shores of Lake Nordenskjold. This trek lasts an hour and a half, is of low difficulty and will offer one of the most famous views of Torres del Paine. Those who do not wish to hike can wait for the group in the vehicle.
After the trek, the excursion continues by vehicle to Laguna Amarga where you can visit this famous viewpoint. The tour concludes with a trip to Cerro Castillo, arriving at 6:00 p.m. and return to El Calafate at 10:00 p.m., after an unforgettable excursion in Torres del Paine.
