Description

Description
Horseback Riding Experience is an excursion ride through Estancia 25 de Mayo Nature Reserve, located in the surroundings of the city of El Calafate, where you can feel the immensity of the Patagonian fields, discover canyons, streams and listen to stories of the southern gauchos while enjoying a country lunch in the Arroyo Cave.

The excursion begins when we pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate at 9:30 a.m. to head to Estancia 25 de Mayo, where a brief technical talk will be given and the necessary equipment, such as helmets and leggings, will be provided.

The ride starts from the corrals of the estancia heading south, crossing the canyon of Arroyo Calafate and travelling 12 km (round trip) with a total duration of 4 hours.

During the ride, you will cross streams and geological formations that show the passage of millions of years. The canyon formed by these rocks will protect you from the characteristic winds of the region, while gaining altitude along the way.

After an hour and a half of horseback riding, you will arrive at the Arroyo Cave, where the gauchos in charge of the tour will prepare a country lunch. To complete the experience, they will offer a toast with wine and then you will return to the hull of Estancia 25 de Mayo.

To finish the excursion, you will return to your hotel at approximately 3:30 p.m. after having visited a little-known area of El Calafate and where nature still shows all its Patagonian splendor.
