The Moreno Spirit tour is a 1-hour excursion along the north face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, considered the most beautiful. It's an ideal activity if you're visiting the glacier on your own by car because it complements the tour of the Perito Moreno balconies with a close-up view of the glacier face from the water, giving you the chance to see floating icebergs and occasional calvings up close.
The tour departs several times daily from Port Moreno. The port is located on the Iceberg Channel, at the foot of the walkways of the Coastal Balconies in front of the lower glacier parking lot.
A few minutes after departure, the boat approaches the face of the glacier's north face. This allows you to appreciate its great height and size from a completely different perspective than the one seen from the Perito Moreno Glacier balconies. In addition, you will see the contact zone between the Perito Moreno Glacier and the peninsula, where the famous ice bridge forms and the glacier breaks off every few years. This phenomenon has made the Moreno Glacier world-renowned for its spectacular nature.
Afterwards, you will sail on a slow cruise along the entire width of the northern wall. If nature allows, you may enjoy a thunderous ice calving. You will then return to Port Moreno, after navigating the most beautiful face of the Moreno Glacier.
Those who wish to take the excursion starting from El Calafate can add round-trip transportation from their hotel to the glacier, which includes a guide throughout the tour.

Even if group members have booked different excursions to visit Perito Moreno on the same day, he/she can share the same transfer to the glacier as long as you inform us in advance that you are traveling together. Once in the National Park, each person will do their chosen activity, and then you will meet to walk the Perito Moreno Glacier balconies together for about 1 hour before returning to El Calafate. You must check the possibility of combining excursions before booking.
