Scenic Navigation: Rio de las Vueltas

The Scenic Navigation excursion begins at the meeting point in El Chalten where specialized guides will provide the necessary technical and safety equipment for the activity. After a brief preparation, you will be transferred approximately 21 kilometers along Provincial Route 41 towards Lago del Desierto, crossing some of the most characteristic landscapes of the region.

Upon reaching the starting point of the navigation, the equipment will be completed with a jacket, life jacket and helmet. Before boarding the rafts, the guides will provide an introductory briefing on safety and the development of the activity, ensuring that all participants can enjoy the experience in a comfortable and safe manner.

The navigation travels approximately 12 kilometers along the Rio de las Vueltas, from the vicinity of the Laguna Condor Viewpoint, crossing a landscape of shallow waters, meanders and Andean-Patagonian forests. During the journey, which lasts around 1.5 hours (depending on river and wind conditions), the imposing north face of Mount Fitz Roy accompanies much of the route, offering unique panoramic views and a leisurely pace that allows you to fully enjoy nature and one of the most emblematic landscapes of Southern Patagonia.

Halfway through the tour, a stop is made to enjoy a country brunch in the heart of nature. This moment of rest allows you to appreciate the surroundings even more and share a different experience in a privileged environment before continuing the navigation.

Later, the raft navigation continues to the disembarkation area near the Fitz Roy Viewpoint, located about 10 kilometers from El Chalten. Once the activity is over, the group undertakes the transfer back to the town, concluding an experience that combines contemplation, unforgettable landscapes and direct contact with Patagonian nature.

At the end of the scenic navigation along the Rio de las Vueltas, you will share a toast in the heart of nature, surrounded by some of the most emblematic landscapes of Patagonia. Finally, the transfer back to El Chalten takes place, closing a day of contemplation, unforgettable landscapes and connection with the Patagonian environment.
